2016文化財ウィーク『いざ江戸城へ！』図録p.15「この図面は、宝永7年（1710）4月5日、6代将軍家宣の上覧のもと、家元である飛鳥井・難波両家が白書院の庭で行った蹴鞠の際の記録です。四隅に「相生(あいおい)赤松」の立つ鞠場(まりば)は、3方を鞠垣(まりがき)という囲いで覆われ、御殿に面した一方だけ、藍染めの帳(とばり)を透かして中が見えるようになっていました。将軍は白書院の下段の入側に畳を設けて着座し、御三家をはじめとする諸大名や幕臣たちが、それぞれの格に応じた場所からの見物を許されました。余白には、鞠場の準備過程や当日の様子などが記録されています。（Illustration of Courtyard Marigaki at Shiro Shoin, Honmaru Palace）This drawing records a kemari match held on April 5, 1710, in the courtyard of the Shiro Shoin drawing room and overseen by the sixth Shōgun, Ienobu. The ball field was enclosed and covered on three sides by a marigaki, making the interior only viewable from the side that faced the palace. The Shōgun seated himself in the veranda of the Shiro Shoin's lower chamber and permitted Daimyō and retainers to view the proceedings from vantage points based on their respective ranks.The preparations that went into making the court, and what happened on the day the court was made have been recorded in the blank spaces of the diagram.」
