2011文化財ウィーク(10)「「地絵図」とは、間取りなどの平面構成を示す図で、本図は万延元年(1860)に再建された本丸御殿大広間の平面図です。上段・中段・下段の続間3室、二の間、三の間、四の間などから成り、儀式のときは上段から下段、さらに続く二の間・三の間まで、入側(畳敷きの縁側)をも含めて使われました。本図には、天井・壁・欄間・建具の仕様、畳の枚数などが詳細に記されています。東面の御駕籠台は、玄関の機能を持つもので将軍のみが使用しました。(Floor plan of Ōhiroma (large hall) of Edo Castle Honmaru)Ōhiroma consisted of the three adjoining rooms, Jōdan (upper level floor), Chūdan (middle level floor) and Gedan (lowest level floor), Ninoma, etc., and all rooms were used to hold ceremonies. Indicated on this diagram are all the details on the specifications of the ceiling, walls, transoms and fixtures, as well as the number of tatami mates, etc. The space known as Okagodai on the eastern side of the building was an entrance used only by the shogun.」
