2008大規模企画展（11），2008文化財ウィークリーフレットp.1「本丸大奥の床棚の絵図。掲出は御新座敷の床棚。御新座敷は、本来は将軍生母の住居であったが、家茂時代には前将軍の正室、つまり大御台所としての資格で天璋院がここに住んでいた。引戸等の装飾金具について描き記した「江戸城本丸大奥ほか銅物絵図」とあわせて見ることにより、大奥内部の室内意匠の繊細で華麗な様子をうかがい知ることができる。(Diagrams of the alcoves and display shelves of the various rooms of Edo Castle Gohonmaru Ōoku)Goshinzashiki was originally the residence for the shogun's real mother, but by the time of Ieshige's rule, it was used as the residence for the lawful wife of the previous shogun.
